Farmers Gasoline M100

Farmers Gasoline M100 is a trade name for biomethanol suitable for spark-ignition engines factory built or adapted for methanol. While all gasoline / methanol blends must be considered as transitional phenomena, the M100 represents the ultimate goal of biomethanol use in internal combustion engines.

M100 is neat biomethanol with an additive. It contains 1-3 ppm Cyclohexyldimethylamine as corrosion inhibitor and 300-400 ppm Polyetheramine (PEA) as a lubricant and 10 ppm benatonium benzoate as denaturant (link).

Methanol is an excellent fuel for Spark Ignition Engines, built to take advantage of the high octane number of methanol. In a hybrid solution with electric motors in the driveline and a motor-driven generator that supplies power to a small buffer battery, efficiencies above 40% can be achieved

ICE 2025+ | Improving the efficiency of spark-ignition engines in hybrid powertrains

In the FVV „ICE 2025+“ research project, four university institutes from Aachen, Braunschweig, Darmstadt and Stuttgart are investigating various technology options for significantly increasing efficiency. The aim of the self-financed project is to optimise the powertrain system in such a way as to achieve the lowest possible consumption in real world operation. In relation to the new WLTP cycle (World Harmonised Light-duty Vehicles Test Procedure), this means achieving an average power efficiency of around 40 per cent, and even 50 per cent in individual operating points. Today’s passenger car spark-ignition engines achieve the best value of around 37 per cent, on average around 30 per cent. Within the project, new engine technologies are researched in interaction with electrified powertrains and synthetic fuels. Link.

Im Normzyklus erreichte der Antrieb im C-Segment-Fahrzeug mit einem getriebeintegriertem Hybridantrieb einen Wirkungsgrad von 43,4 Prozent, im simulierten Straßenbetrieb durchschnittlich 42,7 Prozent. »Ursache ist vor allem die höhere Brenngeschwindigkeit von Methanol«, so Michael Bargende von der Universität Stuttgart. Geely with an M100 engine.

Geely has solved the cold start problem with a small petrol tank to start. It switches to the M100 when the engine has warmed up a bit. Another way to solve the cold start problem is to mount a preheater on the nozzles.

Agro Industries A/S is a member of the International Starch Group. Our purpose is the supply of turnkey factories for the conversion of hydrogen and carbon dioxide to methanol as well as the supply of both gases. New Fuel A/S offers distribution of the resulting electro-methanol.

The Very Beginning.  Easter 2011 "Beyond Oil and Gas: The Methanol Economy" gave rise to an approach to the author, Nobel laureate George Olah. He expressed interest in supporting us and the Danish Methanol Association, of which he remained honorary member until his death, 8 March 2017. Since then, Agro Industries A/S have been striving to build a plant for George Olah's process for the hydrogenation of carbon dioxide to methanol. We have been on the road ever since and now we see a market. MAN has a total of 89 B&W ME-LGIM methanol marine engines on order - of which 19 are for Maersk. Ny methanoltankstation er, udover at være en salgsstander, også en produktionsstander, der blot skal tilføres biomethanol for at fremstille brændstofblandinger tilpasset den eksisterende bilflåde såvel som helt nye biltyper med dedikeret methanolmotor eller en brændselscelle ombord - selv brændstofadditiver tilsættes automatisk “on the fly”. Den er desuden intelligent og registrerer selv, hvilken bil, den tanker og hvilken brændstofblanding, den må påfylde hver enkelt bil. Og afregner selvsagt direkte med kundens bank - og det uden brug af traditionelle benzinkort eller betalingskort. Bilisten fylder på og kører - mere enkelt og mere sikkert kan det ikke gøres.
