An Open House Event at Nordhavn, Denmark.

At an open house event, Nordhavn Power Solutions A/S presented a ships engine for methanol operation. The event had attracted VIPs from all over maritime Denmark. This blog shows some glimpses from the day. Link to a video in Danish.

They were all there. Those from the pilot boats, the shipyards, the ferries. Maersk was there. The defense was there, politicians and shipbuilders. We all stood with a sense of a "A New Beginning".

Agro Industries A/S and New Fuel A/S are members of the International Starch Group.

The Very Beginning.  Easter 2011 "Beyond Oil and Gas: The Methanol Economy" gave rise to an approach to the author, Nobel laureate George Olah. He expressed interest in supporting us and the Danish Methanol Association, of which he remained honorary member until his death, 8 March 2017. Since then, Agro Industries A/S have been striving to build a plant for George Olah's process for the hydrogenation of carbon dioxide to methanol. We have been on the road ever since and now we see a market. MAN has a total of 89 B&W ME-LGIM methanol marine engines on order - of which 19 are for Maersk. And on land, we have received planning permission for a methanol multi-fuel filling station. Nu arbejder virksomheden mod en permanent med dyr løsning på vejen mod den grønne omstilling.
